Paris - La Ville-lumière!

It's been one year since I married my wonderful husband and I can't help but think back on our honeymoon in Paris - the City of Light, the city of love. We rented an apartment online with Isabelle's Apartments and chose a place in the 5th arrondissement near La Sorbonne University called "Moliere". In the month of July the sun is up until 10pm. We walked the streets, sat in cafes, drank wine and truly enjoyed ourselves. I spent three years in Paris in my 20s and the city was as magical as I remembered it. Even my French returned to me and seemed to float effortlessly from my lips - especially after a glass or two of Bordeaux!

Bon anniversaire mes amis! One of the best weddings ever (especially how the ceremony took place after cocktails and before dinner!). Technically you are still newlyweds until midnight!

I was in Paris in 2001, June. We surprised my in-laws, who were there for their anniversary. Congratulations!

Marie Louise, thanks for stopping by LoveMomWorkLife.

I'm also a CT native. And love the Cape. And had read Anna Quindlen's piece some time ago.

Much luck to you in the career change, as you can see I am contemplating one myself. I'm going to have to keep an eye on you.

Best

My childhood chum just returned from Paris and she talks of the two of us going there. Reading what you have experienced makes it even more dream like! And, then I scrolled down and see you are going to Cape Cod!! Have you read the book, My Own Cape Cod by Gladys Taber? It's old but I love the day by day tales she shares.
Have a marvelous vacation!!

Hey Marie! Such beautiful pictures. My own honeymoon was in a trekking camp (Hubby's idea). I remember staying up all night, terrified of snakes and scorpions, oh and how can i forget wild boars. It was a jungle out there!

India is pretty in parts and you made it to Jaipur, so good. I live in Mumbai. One word: CROWDED!

Hope you had a great time celebrating a year of being married.

Paris, what a wonderful city. I've never been myself but have always dreamed of it. I guess with the eurostar i've got no excuse now! I love your blog Marie Louise, it looks great and i'm amazed you've only been doing it for such a short time.

Happy First Anniversary! You two are the very picture of happiness. Your husband is quite a handsome chap! Lucky you for spending your honeymoon in the city that spells romance for so many...and in quite a chic apartment.

May you have many more happy and healthy anniversaries...

Moliere apartments - they'd have to be named after the playwright, right?

I think his best-known work was The Imaginary Invalid.
