"Yosemite Valley, to me, is always a sunrise, a glitter of green & golden wonder in a vast edifice of stone and space."
Ansel Adams, photographer
It's November. The leaves are on the ground. The snow is yet to fall. As always this time of the year, I find myself daydreaming. Where would I rather be. I'm contemplating my escape. Yosemite Valley, California. I've never been but have long known the photos and beauty captured by Ansel Adams. And I've googled the historic Ahwahnee Hotel looking for reservations. I'm as good as there!
If you can wait and stay when it is snowing in the valley you will not regret it! Peaceful, pristine, and stunningly beautiful in the valley in the winter. AND no crowds!!!
BEAUTIFUL place! My hubby and son camped up there this time last year for a 7th grade trip... they LOVED it! They captured some beautiful photos! I hope you get your escape! ENJOY! Fifi
Stayed in the Ahwanhee some years ago, definitely worth it! Just GO, relax, enjoy! It's gorgeous!! By the way, I'm a first time visitor to your blog (can't even remember how I got here), love it! And will be back soon!! Have a nice weekend! Chantal
So many contrasts of light, images, sensations ... Ten years ago we visited some of the marvellous American parks (Grand Canyon, Bryce, Mesa Verde ...) It was magic!

I would seriously consider a station wagon if I could have one like Adams'.
I hope you get your escape!
ENJOY!

Quant à l'hôtel Ahwahnee, quel rêve d'y séjourner.
Merci pour ce joli partage.
